Chris and his wife Hollie have two children, Elizabeth (5) and Andrew (3).

He was recently voted “Best General Ophthalmologist” in a physician’s poll conducted by the Arkansas Times. He practices at Cooper Clinic, 6801 Rogers Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72902, 800 333-1305.

His hobbies include tennis, skiing, poker and auto restoration.

Chris sends along these thoughts:

“I look forward to returning to Delbarton and seeing many of our classmates for the first time in 25 years - a span of time that hardly seems possible.  Having often reflected on my time spent there I remain grateful for having had parents willing to sacrifice to afford me the opportunity.  My experience at Delbarton was the cornerstone of my education through its demonstration of excellence and what it took to achieve it.  Several of our classmates were positive influences in this respect.

My perspective has since broadened having attended college and med school in Iowa, completed a residency in Detroit and finally settling “down in the south.”  Professionally I’m an ophthalmologist practicing in a large, private multi-specialty clinic having been granted the opportunity to start my own Department.  I’m very fortunate to have a dedicated office staff that makes me look good. I’ve served as President of our State Medical Association and completed surgical missions in Liberia, West Africa and Mexico.

Personally I do try to have some fun, ranging from diving the Great Barrier Reef to flying an F-16.  But the greates thrill so far has been becoming a parent twice in the last five years (I got to deliver them myself - with an OB/Gyn at my side!)
